If the district congressman nominated him, and he did not get the appointment, he will get placed on the NWL.
Yes, I misspoke saying state senator. I intended US Senator from TN.No nomination came from a 'state senator'. Alexander and Corker are US Senators that represent Tennessee.
Don't worry about the slates. Alexander nominated at least 3 people all with LOAs they have turned into offers of Appointment. One or none of those could be 'charged' to Alexander.
Also, no nominating source makes an appointment. The SA makes the offer of appointment though they may notify the MOC to allow them to make the call to the appointee (even this does not mean the appointee will be 'charged' to the MOC)
The time to give up hope is when the TWE arrives. The TWE is USNA's confirmation you didn't make it this cycle
The vast majority of appointments have not been made and won't be made until March
It is actually the National Pool. The waitlist comes from kids that go to the pool; therefore, not all kids in the National Pool make it to the waitlist, which comes out in April. Sadly, USNA has taken almost no kids of the waitlist for the last 2 years because there were not appointment turn downs after that date to need someone off the list. This is what I have learned for USNA at least. I'm unsure if the other academies have a NWL like what you are speaking of.Do you know where I can learn more on the NWL procedure? I have not seen this prior to these threads
For which SA?Does anybody know if the district 8 Fincher nominee has taken his/her appointment yet for his slot?
Sorry, USNA with Fincher as nominating source. For which SA?
