TN Noms

If the district congressman nominated him, and he did not get the appointment, he will get placed on the NWL.

Do you know where I can learn more on the NWL procedure? I have not seen this prior to these threads

To be honest, I do not know where you can find information on the NWL. I have read about it on these forums as well, but I never found any information on it myself. Perhaps one of the other users/mods know where to find the NWL procedure?

No nomination came from a 'state senator'. Alexander and Corker are US Senators that represent Tennessee.

Don't worry about the slates. Alexander nominated at least 3 people all with LOAs they have turned into offers of Appointment. One or none of those could be 'charged' to Alexander.

Also, no nominating source makes an appointment. The SA makes the offer of appointment though they may notify the MOC to allow them to make the call to the appointee (even this does not mean the appointee will be 'charged' to the MOC)

The time to give up hope is when the TWE arrives. The TWE is USNA's confirmation you didn't make it this cycle

The vast majority of appointments have not been made and won't be made until March

Yes, I misspoke saying state senator. I intended US Senator from TN.

There is a football player from Whitehaven that it has been reported he is going to USNA. Hard to imagine he is not in Cohen's district.

Whether he is a Cohen or Senate nom I do not know.

And Cohen will not have any Appointments. MOCs nominate SA's Appoint

Worrying about 'who wins' Cohen's slate is not all that material. Alexander's slate had 3 for sure and I think 4 LOAs in the Memphis area to USNA and they have all rec'd appointments. None or one of those will be charged to Alexander the rest to other slots

The majority of Appointments will come out in the next 30-35 days

The waiting sucks, but it's part of the normal cycle

I am well aware MOC's do not appoint. To clarify my question:

Has anyone nominated by Cohen been appointed to any service academies?

The point of asking is to see if his available slots have been filled at this point.

It is actually the National Pool. The waitlist comes from kids that go to the pool; therefore, not all kids in the National Pool make it to the waitlist, which comes out in April. Sadly, USNA has taken almost no kids of the waitlist for the last 2 years because there were not appointment turn downs after that date to need someone off the list. This is what I have learned for USNA at least. I'm unsure if the other academies have a NWL like what you are speaking of.

Does anybody know if the district 8 Fincher nominee has taken his/her appointment yet for his slot?
