Tourettes

Does anyone have experience with Tourettes Syndrome? I hear alot about how you cannot get into the army with it, but why? I don't shout swear words, nor am I insane or something. I am a high performing High School Senior with 4 years in JROTC. I am a commander of the Drill Teams and Colorguard (both military).

Does anybody have anything to share about Tourettes? Because this is the greatest obstacle I face.
