    RIP

Heilman was my DS's RTO plebe year and they shared a table in Delano for four months. He made plebe year a challenge, but he was always fair. He once had my DS take his Sunday night Plebe Knowledge Test in the pushup position because my DS had taken a shortcut across an area reserved for upperclassmen. Lesson learned. It made for a pretty funny story. DS says Heilman was an awesome guy. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Hey, my DS too. And, his story is very very similar to your in remembering Lt. Heilman. Additionally, my DS said "it was his job to be the badass, but he did in a controlled and respectfully way. Good leader."

This story is disturbing. It is very vague and causes me to be a little more than curious about he circumstance(s) surrounding where/why this young man lost his life.

Does anyone know what this has not been announced thru the school Email system? I am currently out to sea, but I still receive emails about trivial things, so I know I am still on some email lists.

It's for these reasons that all on a boat need to wear a life preserver...it's to preserve life. Too many people don't and I hear the same sad ending. This is awful and could have been prevented.

The website to watch the services for Scott Heilman is www.stbarbaranj.org, the services are scheduled to begin at 1000 am with a potential delay to 1030 am. Please let any Kings Pointers that are not able to make funeral know that they will be able to watch live at the website. Thank you.
