My school administer supposedly mailed my high school transcript to USMA on January 13th. As of January 24th, my status is still not updated that they have received it. I understand that Admissions is busy this time of year, but should it have taken this long? Do I need to resend it?

That is quite a long time. I would check with USMA admissions about it.

Do we need to send 7th semester transcripts in? I wasn't aware if that was a requirement

Yes, West Point expects to receive all 8 semesters of your high school transcripts.

I love how you guys are already done with 7th semester...my last exams are today.

Yes, you need to send in your 7th semester grades, even/especially if you already have an appointment. Its USMA's way of making sure you're keeping your grades up

Well I realize that they need all eight semesters. I was going to send them all eight after graduation, but do they need seven? Should I send updated transcripts now?

I would. If your grades are good, it should help your application more.

Jason, I just know that for some candidates last year who had received an appointment, WP sent urgent notices to update their transcript records with their 7th semester grades or else lose their appointment

What defines 'good' grades? Above a B average? How bad is 'bad?'

To me, I think good grades is an overall A average, with probably like 1 or 2 B's at most. When it comes to the really root of it, I think good grades really mean grades that either raise up your class rank or keep you at the same place. Essentially, West Point cares more about class rank than your GPA and transcript grades. If you are taking a difficult course load, they will understand the few B's you get in your courses.
