Hi,

I am considering transferring from the University of Oklahoma to Georgetown. I am currently a freshman at OU and was awarded an Army 3 year AD scholarship to OU last spring. If I end up transferring to Georgetown can I take the scholarship with me?

You can request to have it transferred, but don't be surprised if Cadet Command says no. You should also contact Georgetown and let them know what you want to do. They may or may not have Campus based scholarships available. You are transferring from one Brigade to another, so there will be issues.

Low Cost to High Cost

In addition to going to a different Brigade, you are looking to transfer a low cost scholarship to a high cost scholarship. This will make it even harder for you to do so.

I'll be looking into this as well. Interestingly enough, I'm considering transferring to the same school (Georgetown), although my scholarship is "high-cost" so I might not have the same exact issues with Cadet Command. Do me a favor and email me if you find anything significant, or manage to get relevant details from anyone at GU. I'll do the same :)

You're not wanting to leave because OU was a National Championship contender and now is a Big 12 also ran are you?

Maybe you're hoping for better luck at Georgetown with basketball? :yllol:
