Its worth noting that the information P-Flying17 gives is most likely correct she works at CC.
I thought CC stood for Cadet Command which was the Army's ROTC program? Its worth noting that the information P-Flying17 gives is most likely correct she works at CC.
No chance. Each ROTC program is separate and they don't compare lists of applicants or acceptances...before May 1st.
My daughter received AROTC & NROTC scholarships in December 2009 and accepted both. Then a month later (end of Jan 2010) received and accepted an AFROTC scholarship. A couple weeks later advised both the AROTC and the NROTC that she was releasing those scholarships. She could have kept all three until at least May 1st but (like most people) chose to help the process by releasing as early as possible the scholarships she knew she wasn't going to use.
My son is in a similar situation this year. My advice is to accept everything and to release scholarships AFTER you are certain of your options and what you want. Good Luck!

Thank you! I've been wondering what the heck CC was that everyone was referring to and wondering if I was missing something! Since neither of my sons applied for AROTC that explains why I'm not familiar with it.
Assuming that your ROTC scholarship is national and not issued/tied to the specific Det/Bat/Unit...no you won't jeopardize your ROTC scholarship. However, some colleges have bad attitudes about students depositing to multiple schools and you might jeopardize your acceptance at the college(s). It's rare....but supposedly happens occasionally. If I have been awarded a scholarship to one school, but am trying to transfer to another, will I jeopardize the scholarship awarded if I send the deposits to both schools?
