Transportation Request?

    In the PTR package there is a transportation request form. Do we only need to send this in if we want USNA to set up a commercial flight? The ticket for my flight to Baltimore has already been purchased so do I even need to fill out the Transportation Request form?

    I'm sending an email to my regional director about this so I'll let you all know what I find out.

    There should be another form that came in the packet for reimbursement of a ticket that has already been purchased. I have heard that the ticket will be reimbursed but it my take a while.

    I believe on the back of the Permit to Report form is the form that will need to be filled out in order to be reimbursed, but please let us know what you find out. You will want to make sure you have a receipt for your ticket, or something (other than a credit card statement) showing the cost of your ticket. The reimbursement will be direct deposited into your account just like your pay, no matter who paid for the ticket.

    is that really how they do it? just put the money into your account at the academy

    Yes. USNA uses direct deposit for all moneys that are due to the Mids. There is no avenue to reimburse your rents for the airline ticket. That will need to be worked out between you and who ever paid for the tickes.

    Did anyone figure out if we need to send in Transportation Request form if we already have a flight booked? no need to have them book me another one.

    I don't believe so; it wouldn't make much sense.
    I think that's why on our permit to report forms on the back it asks how you traveled to the Academy, etc. Again though if anyone has asked admissions about this and can post I would greatly appreciate it!
