TWE, Re-applying, AFROTC, and much more.

Sorry, I was thinking Katwswim was the kid with the TWE, not the parent :eek:. Tell the kid with the TWE to contact the admissions office, and politely ask what could be stronger about her application/what was weak that could've been a factor in her not getting in.
 
She did call, they told her she looked great in all areas, that TX is a tough place and lots of people know about the AFA. The Counselor encouraged her to reapply.
So it looks like she has chosen one of the five schools that she has been accepted at.
We talked to AFROCT which is a cross town location yesterday.
She will swim for this school...
Her major Biochemistry and molecular biology.
This time she will apply for more than just the congressman's nomination, which he has already told her he would give again. This time she will also apply for senator nom.

I know the TWE's will begin to arrive soon, and that there also may be people reapplying to USAFA, so I just want to send this thread back to the top to lend any help that I may in my 3rd year at USAFA ;) (I'm on the 6 year plan because of being denied twice).

The TWEs will not becoming out anytime soon, at this time I think the only posters that have a nom in hand would be candidates that have a Presidential. Plus, USAFA has yet to even start their boards. Typically that board will not happen until sometime in Oct.
~ No nom = no appointment.
On top of that an MoC cannot be charged an appointment until everyone on that slate has been boarded, caveat principals. Thus, if someone on that slate does not submit their CFA until Feb. the board cannot charge the apptmt. to the MoC.

Just wanted to put that out there because I think if I was a newbie here I would become anxious believing that they are meeting and TWEs are going to be coming out within the next few months for the early applicants. For newbies the TWEs really don't start rolling out until March. Hence, the cliche....Mass Mailing March. Even the apply before Nov 1st, and you'll know in Jan. is not something I would bank on from a historical pov. Historically those offered in Jan. are the minority with many getting the "at this time we cannot make a decision" letter and have to wait until March.

More aiming this for reapplicants and any questions they may have - probably could have left that twe comment out.
