You will either get:

  • full appointment
  • conditional appointment
  • appointment to CGAS

  • wait list (very small number)
  • rejection

My son applied EA1 and is still awaiting his admission decision. How will he hear (mail, phone call, etc.)? Is it a bad sign that he hasn't heard yet?

Any day now

DS also waiting to hear. I think we will know by priority mail very soon.

My DD received a phonce call of her acceptance about 2 weeks ago from her admissions officer.

DS is in same boat... no call, no letter, and admissions review box is still unchecked on Bear's Den?

I hope they release the rest of the decisions tomorrow, I'm not sure I can stand the waiting much longer. :frown:

Just got notified that I was put on the waiting list. I still have hope! Just out of curiosity does anyone know the statistics of the waiting list? For example, how many people are generally accepted from the waiting list?

I still have an empty check box next to: Cadet Candidate Evaluation Review Board Complete... Makes no sense to me- shouldn't it be checked off by now?

If you complete your application by October 15, you will receive our admissions decision no later than December 24.

Website was updated today and official decision was available. Received letter of acceptance.

Waitlist... would be curious to see stats of those who have received an appointment, if you're willing to share.

Awesome stats, Sailorgirl! Can certainly see why you received an LOA! Little bummed and confused for my DS, he has outstanding all around stats, excellent scores and recommendations, already been accepted to Michigan Engineering school EA (VERY tough for an out of state student) and has a nom to the Naval Academy. Wasn't really expecting a waitlist, but it is what it is...

Top Choice?

What is your son's first choice? Sometimes for high achiecving kids any level of rejection is tough. BUT, if Naval or Michigan are higher on his choice list, then he has to still be VERY excited. He has a lot to be proud of!
Also, (a bit off topic) did your son do most college applications after getting things into the Academy? It seems like SO MUCH to tackle at once!
