Three USNA grads, a plebe, and a baby girl at St. Andrew's Chapel this past Sunday (10-13-2013)! For me, a first-time Nana, this is way beyond the "Good News" category... can't come close to putting this in any category even invented!!!
My Marine Captain daughter, my Navy Lt son-in-law, and 6 week old granddaughter flew over land and sea to celebrate the baby's Baptism on the Yard. Also in the photo: Godmother, DD's former USNA roommate now Marine Captain stationed in DC, and Godfather, DS #4, Class of '17, being watched carefully by DS#6 (Uncle Tommy now!). Nearly two dozen family and friends gathered on the Yard from near and far (and some just medium - as in Michigan and Illinois) by car and plane for one of life's greatest celebrations, whether that life is military or civilian - it just is good stuff!!!
