Hi all!

Just wondering: does USNA wear BDUs/ACUs (etc) at points during the academic year the way USMA and USAFA do?
 
Does anyone know if class of 2013 is getting the new digi-cammies? (I don't remember the technical name). I know USAFA class of 2012 got them. I had heard a rumor that we were while I was out there in February.
 
Guess you'll find out on I-day. Cammies are a pain anyways. Unless you are moto, you'll probably end up throwing them away at the end of your 4 years. They are simply more weight for you to have to move around from place to place.
 
Pretty sure there are no plans to make those a uniform at the Academy any time soon. Unlike army, the only one's who ever wear those are SWO-selects during the spring semester's "warrior fridays."

Personally, I'm not a fan. Blue isn't going to do you any good in the woods or on a ship...poopy suits are a thousand times more comfortable and functional anyway.
 
From what I know, coveralls WILL NOT be going away during underway periods. However, it apparently will be required while inport.
 
The new cammies are coming since they're starting to make people buy them by region however this means the academy probably will not start issuing them for another year or two, they're always a little behind.

And coveralls are staying around from my understanding, but I second Marvin's flight suit comment.
