Hi all. When looking on the USAFA application's CFA section, it says:

Note: You will not be able to update or view this form online after you submit it to USAFA. Make sure your answers are correct and complete prior to clicking "Submit this Form to USAFA" below. If the form has errors it will NOT be submitted and the errors will be marked in red. You may also check for errors (without submitting) by selecting the "Show Errors on this Form" checkbox below.

Does that mean I can only submit the CFA once? I thought you were allowed to take it as many times as you want, and update it as often as you want. Or is it taking it as many times as needed, and only submitting the latest/best score? I was thinking about forwarding my scores from NASS, but those scores weren't too good and I'm thinking about retaking the CFA throughout the summer.

    Thanks everyone!

You may take the CFA as many times as you like, but you may only submit once. You may retake the ACT and SAT multiple times and resubmit the scores for updates.

If your results from NASS are not close to the maxes, don't submit.

The fact is the AFA selection board will not meet until October. You can't get appointed without a nom. and they usually close around the same time. Take these next 3-4 months and max the CFA.

LOAs for the AFA are very few and far between. IOWS rare is an understatement, so don't submit to game the system hoping you will get an LOA.
~ I believe only about 150 LOAs are given, and the initial pool that opens a PCQ is about 100 times that amount.
~~ Way more than the amount that attend NASS or SLS

    Per the USAFA Application Handbook:

Note: Candidates who have taken the CFA as an applicant for the U.S. Military Academy or U.S. Naval Academy are not required
to retest for the Air Force Academy. The three service academies require the same 6-event CFA; however, please note that we
will not accept CFA scores taken during a Summer Seminar program. If you have already taken the CFA for Army or Navy
and it is not from a Summer Seminar program, ask them to email the results of the exam to
USAFA_RRS.ORGMAIL@USAFA.EDU or fax us a copy of the exam. Our fax number is (719) 333-3012.
