Hello all. I was recommended to check out this site by "go4bacon" on Reddit but I've seen a few posts from him on here as well.
Anyways, some background info, at the moment I have no idea what I'm doing or how the grand scheme of this process works but I'm trying to figure it out. If I remember correctly, some of my family has been pressuring my mom to try and get either my brother or myself to go to Westpoint for many a year but she didn't want that and so I never really thought of it as much of an option. Well I had an odd day of what could be called "soul-searching" last week and I think this is right for me. I'll make this into an actual question so that it isn't a misplaced Introduction post.

I've yet to complete the "Candidate Questionnaire" for applying overall and for SLS. I went in and looked at all the questions and I'm wondering, can you change the info that you put in on there at a later date? My ACT and SAT scores were a bit lower than I would prefer so I'm going to retake them in Fall of my Senior year (currently a junior) but will I be able to update it to reflect these changes? And if they use this for SLS participants as well, would that mean I have to input my lower than preferred scores now to be eligible for SLS?

Thanks.

Ok disregard the previous questions. I believe I've figured them all out.

New question though: On the Candidate Questionnaire it asks for my ACT Writing score. I checked the ACT website to see what my recent scores for writing were and it gave me two of them. One was large and said Combined English/Writing: 26 (Not sure how this is scaled because I got a 30 in English on its own) and then in smaller subtext it said Writing (0-12): 06. Am I supposed to use the writing only portion or the Combined English/Writing? I ask because I would think writing only but the ACT website seems to be placing higher emphasis on the Combined score value.

When I filled it out, I put the stand-alone ACT score without the writing since there was a spot for the essay score. Plus, when you get past the questionnaire, you will have to submit the official scores directly to the academy anyways.

Good luck and hope that helps!
