Urgent Early Action Question

I have completed everything on my USCGA application. Unfortunately in my portal it says that the PFE and Height and Weight standards have not been received.

I am stressed out here because the early action deadline is so close!

I completed my PFE yesterday and my evaluator submitted yesterday.

Is the portal only lagging or should I be worried?

Thank You!

I have the same exact issue. My coach submitted mine 4 days ago, and it still hasn't shown up. I have tried calling general admissions as well as my admissions officer, but neither have answered.

The most important thing to remember about the Application Checklist on the Bear's Den [portal] is it reflects when application items have been processed and officially added to your record. This can take several days, especially right after a three day (holiday) weekend and right before the Early Action deadline when literally thousands of application items are being submitted daily.

What you should initially be concerned about is whether or not your application items have been received (regardless of whether or not processed) and this can be verified on your application homepage. If a week has gone by and something "received" hasn't been "processed" then you should outreach to your Admissions Officer or other contacts listed in your Applicant Handbook to figure out what's going on.

I have a couple of questions regarding this.

What does Bear's Den mean by "Official High School Transcript"? My understanding is that the only transcript I need is the one I uploaded in the online application.

Also, the SAT's. What is the "Official" source for the scores? I sent them on the CollegeBoard website, and self reported them on the app. Is this enough?

Thanks very much

I think that transcript is fine for now, but they'll need an official one from your school if recommended for an appointment. Scores sent from college board are fine.

Thanks for the input. I do find it slightly weird that I sent the scores via college board at least a month ago, and they still aren't showing up on the Bear's Den checklist.

Same for me with ACT. I emailed my admissions officer. She said that they can't officially process them until my application was submitted. Hopefully mine will show up any day!

One more question.
To be considered in time for EA, do all of the parts have to be "processed" by the 15th, or just submitted?
Thanks.

Per the CGA Admissions web page for frequently asked questions regarding Early Action:

To have your application considered for Early Action, all application materials must be submitted by October 15 – this includes at least one set of official prerequisite test scores (SAT or ACT) received before the aforementioned deadline. In other words, you must take the ACT and/or SAT in enough time for the scores to be received by CGA before the deadline. If you are offered an appointment as a result of Early Action, you have until May 1 to accept or decline the offer.

The CGA website contains a lot of valuable information if you have other questions.
