USAF Thunderbird crashes

Thanks, Stealth. I think Scout also "helped" by showing what a spam looks like, or what a long time poster can get away with, or both?

Good Morning,

You are free to disagree, and your disagreement has been noted. Please note that continuing to post about this issue is off topic for this thread, and that our decision is final.

Copy all, TN. Thank you for creating the forum that helped countless young people and their parents.

On the original subject. I can't think of a single airshow incident, supported by US active duty maintenance that there has been a mechanical failure causing a crash. The only one that comes to mind, Hill AFB Thunderbird T-38 (twin) in the early 80's. The engine failure was a result of bird strike.
Pilot error on all the others.

Side note: there is a gofundme page for CAPT. Kuss' children. It is over $100K. Not a pitch, just creating awareness.

Reprimand me. Flame me. Whatever they say these days.

I'm sure that Capt. Kuss's widow and children would agree, the widows and children and siblings of the anonymous E's and Cadet who got washed down the Brazos River, lost someone just as worthy as as Capt. Kuss.

This is nothing other than a reminder that our Officer DD's and DS's live in a different world which is completely misunderstood by the society at large.

Finally a post about the "Original Subject". Scoutpilot was the OP. What did he start this thread about? Had nothing to do with pilot bravery or condolences. At the time he posted the Blue Angle accident had not happened. Perhaps he would have held off with a night to reflect had he had the opportunity . Who knows. But what he very specifically started this thread about was the perils of SE aircraft at air shows. Period. Scout loses complete credibility with his " I didn't mean all airshows, just this one". So laughable as he is so precise in his flame on other issues.

Sounds like in the Tbird accident the only engine failed - 100% for you there scout - but engine failure resulting in airshow accident is very rare. Look it up scout. Like you tell others. Even if it does invalidate the thread you started. Sometimes best to just fold your hand.

It's not my fault that you pole vault over mouse droppings and can't understand the difference between a remark about single-engine flying and a condemnation of every air show in history.

Perhaps in the future you'll find something to be really, really right about.

Good Evening,

This is not the thread for these types of argumentative posts. The loss of life is tragic, and discussions should remain respectful and solemn.

My deepest sympathy goes out to those who lost their lives in service to their country.
