Hey everyone, I've been lurking these forums for quite a while now. You all seem like a great bunch of people, honestly I come here at least once a day to read, and this forum has a real nice family-ish feel. That's pretty darn awesome.

I decided to join in on the fun and create an account here! I'm looking forward to meeting some other USAFA hopefuls such as myself, so maybe I'll know a couple people if I do receive an appointment and meet ya guys there

Thanks for all the great posts, they're all so entertaining and very helpful!

Hey fellow '15 hopeful! Thanks a lot for your help in one of my posts! How did you get your pamphlets? I'd like one too!

I'm a ROTC Candidate, but I am from socal! :)
Sweet! I love living in SoCal! In-n-Out, 'nuff said.

Plus, I haven't started the application process yet, I can't open my pre-candidate forms until March 1st! Until then, I'm hitting the gym nearly every day.

And my pamphlets, well my best friend's dad was in the military, I believe he's retired now. She has wanted to be a pilot for a long time, and I told her of my interest in joining the air force. "Oh my god Tina! You mean you finally want to do something I want to do?!" :shake: She got all excited and ran to her dad who then was so nice enough to set us up a lunch meeting with one of his friends, who's a full-bird colonel. At that lunch meeting, I also met an army lieutenant and she was so nice! I got a lot of very very helpful information at that meeting, not only about USAFA but about the air force and such in general... and the food was delicious (we were at this Hawaiian BBQ joint).

Anyway it was there that my friend and I received some nifty pamphlets and key chains from the air force colonel. That was such an awesome lunch, as my friend's dad said I got the "tickle of inspiration".. 'cause I couldn't stop smiling the whole time. After that day I was sure the air force is something I want to join, and I will become an officer, by any means! But through USAFA is what I'm shooting for :thumb:

And some other pamphlets, I got when an SA representative came to my school. I also got a key chain lanyard and a USAFA mousepad heh heh.
