Good evening,

I am a recent appointee to the USAFA class of 2014. I am interested in trying to walk on to play baseball. I played varsity baseball in high school. Will fourth class cadets be able to have time to practice before tryouts?

Thanks,

J. B.

I was also interested this year in walking on (until I was pummeled with academics and decided not to).

Answer:
Yes, you will have time to practice. They will have a meeting during BCT telling you what day tryouts are. If I remember correctly, you should have around 1-2 months to work out. That being said, you'll have to find some people to throw/hit with, since they will not be coaching you. I believe they will allow you to use the JV field.

I was thinking of trying to walk on as well. MN14, maybe we should try to practice together before tryouts.
