Hello, my name is Connie Chung and I'm from Los Alamitos, California. I'm very interested in USAFA and have attended the Summer Seminar in June. That program has inspired me more to become a USAFA Cadet :) I'm also interested in West Point and Coast Guard Academy. Although USAFA is my #1 choice, I've applied to West Point and Coast Guard because I'm interested in serving my country =) (as well as HUNDREDS of other applicants). I aspire to become a pilot; however, my eyesight is horrible and I might not have a chance of becoming one :( If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me! =) Good luck to everyone in the Class of 2016! :thumb:

Welcome to the forums Connie. This is great place to get your questions answered and to help other candidates. I hope you are strapped in for a wild ride as we move into the time of the year when appointments start trickling out.

Are you going to Los Al, good school and very competitive. I think it might help that your peers attend ivy etc. Good luck!

Yes, I attend Los Alamitos High School. It's a really competitive school for everything - academics, sports, and performing arts. I'm worried about my GPA and class rank because based on what others post on here, mine isn't that great. Hopefully, USAFA will adjust my GPA and class rank accordingly as MANY of my friends are competitive for Ivy League slots.
