Does the AFROTC know about this or should my DS update his AFROTC application? Also, should he update his ARTOC application with this information? West Point was his first choice, but he was medically DQ'd. He was not DQ'd from Air Force and does not need a waiver from either.

ROTC and the Service Academies are totally separate entities and unaware of candidate statuses for each other. For that matter, acceptance/rejection for one has zero impact on the other.

Short answer... Even if there was a way to let AFROTC know, it would have no impact.

+1 MedB

AFROTC selection is national. Their boards are held in Maxwell Alabama. Their selection rate is approximately the same as USAFA, @16-18% boarders will get a scholarship.

The big differences are intended majors and they do not super score the SAT/ACT, Avg best sitting SAT/ACT is @1300.

It is important to know that if you apply with an intended STEM (tech)major and are awarded a scholarship, but later on want to change to a non-tech major, you will need HQ AFROTC to approve. Chances are slim that they will approve the change. That means if you do change your major you probably will lose the scholarship. If you are awarded a nontech and want to change to tech that they will approve.
