For 01November deadline candidates, how soon can a candidate expect to hear a decision from USAFA board ?

An examination of threads from previous years shows that notifications were sent as as early as October 24th.

But this is from the USAFA website:

Early Notification
If you are a highly qualified candidate, have a nomination and your records are complete, we may notify you of an appointment as early as November.

Son's application is also due November 1. Our senator applications were just recently due. One last Friday and the other today. Our congressman isn't even scheduling interviews until early December.

I have encouraged son to just start focussing on plan B, scholarship applications and be prepared for a long wait.

My DS application is due on Nov 13. His application was completed 2 days ago. Nomination situation is exactly same as "TexasSoccerMom". MOC interview is set for Dec 3. I guess we will just sit tight and wait....

Correct lionking.... and you may then continue to wait until March, or April, or May, or even... June.

I'll take pity on you, your deadline is irrelevant to when you hear. You set yourself up to possibly receive an early notification, but that is rare. Otherwise you can "expect" to hear in March or April.
