USAFA ID and privileges

Hi
When DS enters the academy what type of ID will he be issued? With this ID can he enter military bases and use the services like exchange and commissary?

John,

It is my understanding that USAFA cadets, unlike ROTC cadets, have the same DoD IDs as other active duty AF personnel with the same privileges and access.
 
it is a military ID same as everyone else. They are active duty military, though some bases may have special restrictions. Best off all, they can use shades of green at disney at the cadet rate!
 
Be prepared Shades of Green book out months in advance, just like the Hale Koa, sometimes you are better off reserving a room at another hotel, and trying to get in last minute since some cancel due to military no-notice deployments.
 
Dont forget Edelweiss Lodge and Resort in Garmisch, Germany!!! Yes its in Germany but one of the coolest places I have ever skied and if you dont ski or snowboard the hiking is great in the summer. A great vacation spot for anyone stationed in Europe.
