I don’t really know how this works. I received a nomination from Senator Warner (VA) about a week ago and yesterday I received another nomination from my Congressman (Bobby Scott; VA-3rd). When I had my interview with Senator Warner’s Academy Coordinator, I was told that they (Senators and Congressmen) would all be meeting together so that they don’t nominate the same people because our state is very competitive for spots and they want to give everyone a chance. However, my district is historically the least competitive of all the districts. Normally, very few people apply for nomination. I figured this might be the reason why I got Congressman Scott's nomination, as well. However, what happen now? Am I in two different slates that will go before the Academy selection panel or will I have to decline one nomination and accept the other?

You do not have do decline a nomination. The more nominations the better.

True, the more the better, in the sense that it won't hurt you, but the Academy won't really think higher of you when you receive a congressman's nomination after receiving a nom from a senator.
