After recognition we want to send DS's civilian clothes. Other than jeans, t-shirts and hoodies, are there any suggestions on what to send?

Thanks.

Shorter socks:biggrin: At least my DD wanted these, she was tired of wearing socks that went at least mid-calf last year. If he wears a jacket maybe one of those, it is still pretty cool outside. I know last year being able to have fitted sheets on the bed was a big deal. There have been some changes to this policy so better check with your cadet first. We sent colored sheets last year and then at the beginning of this year they said no, but had to back track a little since so many of the cadets of '14 already had them. DD now has white jersey knit sheets. If you get sheets make sure they are the Twin XL. They have the long mattresses like many universities use. Last year we sent the iPod too, but my understanding is that '15 was given media privileges early on.
Good Luck to your son, Recognition was such a big deal to my DD. She ranked it higher than graduating H.S. and she was Valedictorian of her class .

Maybe some 2015 squads had media privileges/iPods, but not my son's! But I don't think he missed it really--busy enough without the distraction. As for post-Recognition, I'm going to leave it up to my son to tell me what to send. So far he wants 1 pair of jeans, a couple tshirts, and maybe his favorite stretchy shorts for sitting around his room. He's coming home for spring break the following weekend, so he's content to just wait and bring back anything else then. A jacket is a good idea though, I may mention that to him.
