USAFA School Calendar 2009-2010 Availability?

Southwest usually has VERY cheap flights into Denver ($59-$69).

depending on where you come from. denver to new orleans and back was still $250 for me for summer leave, and that's the cheapest i've ever gotten

Yeah I take NWA. They're very expensive and never direct route. Still don't know whether it's cheaper to Denver or COS...

thanksgiving i'd be going to chicago.... christmas probably atlanta to mobile... a limo has day fares or whatever and would be WAY cheaper than a taxi... plus it can fit a good 7-10 cadets plus gear comfortably.. then the cost gets split x times... good deal for everyone... it doesn't matter where we're flying too if we're all flying out of denver

well i'm extremely lucky because Chicago-Midway is my home airport. so i get all the cheap flights between there and Denver:biggrin:
but count me in on that carpool matt. We could probably get some upperclassman to go with us and get rides with them. i thought i saw something somewhere too that military personnel can rent cars at 18 as opposed to 21. That true or no?

Certain companies yes.

If on orders, always! :)

well I always go southwest and its pretty cheap, even on short notice. So leave wouldn't technically be on orders then I'm assuming? There are plenty of ways to get to COS or Denver. lets worry about that in 4 months. We have a whole lot to deal with in the next week, let alone the next 6 weeks...:thumb:

haha i see that now...lol. thats good to know i guess

We could always call a cab to town then hitch a ride from some of the folks... Oh wait no that's against the law.

did not know that... if they go to denver that'd be great... if they only go to CO springs then we're back to square one...

The website says they do both. I'm looking at flying from denver for breaks, too...the extra hundred bucks for CO springs is just not worth it.

$100 thats it? dang... thats good because i saved $500 this time by driving one hour down to CO Springs

They offer both and the CSprings one is cheaper..

My advice: go get a bus ticket as EARLY as you can because they really tend to fill up fast.

$500? very nice. I just checked... $49 cheaper. The main advantage is I might be able to make a flight home from denver the same day instead of waiting till the morning. Though once you factor in transportation it might be a better deal...oh, well I'll take what savings I can get:thumb: its not a big deal either way.
