Hey, I was just wondering if at the Air Force's Summer Seminar there would be an official CFA. I know that the Naval Academy runs a CFA at their summer seminar which they will accept as part of the admissions process, so I was curious if the air force did the same thing.

And does the Air Force's CFA count toward the Naval Academy as well? I assume it would since they appear to be the same, but I just wanted to make sure so I can plan in advance.

Thanks for your help

Nope, the CFA at USAFA's ss is purely for the experience. There's an awards shindig at the end where the top 4 guys and girls get a prize (model planes...at least they were last year), but it doesn't count for your application.

The CFA you take the Summer Seminar won't count towards your admissions process. Your element leader will take your scores and they aparently will follow you past summer seminar, but they aren't your 'official' scores. They're used more to judge improvement.

I don't think you can count the Summer Seminar CFA towards Navy, if that's what your asking. If they're 'exactly' the same, I guess you technically use the one official CFA for everything.

EDIT....DMAC beat me to it.

USAFA CFA does not count, and trust me, after you run, you won't want it too...

USNA keeps CFA all to themselves, USAFA probably won't accept it, but USMA and USAFA can request scores from one another.

I knew my element leader took scores, but didn't know they were filed! I sucked so bad at the practice CFA, after a week of PT. And yeah, for me, there was a noticable improvement, especially on the run, between the Academy elevation and sea level.
