Any idea on the approximate equivalent value of a USCGA education? USAFA says $403k.....

    Seriously -

Each academy determines the "cost" in different ways - some take the actual academy budget and divide by the number of cadets/mids (taking into account building/grounds maintenance, snow removal, etc) while others include (or exclude) the ~$11k pay of each. Some include the cost of summer training & transportation, some do not.

The USCGA values the "scholarship" (whatever that entails) at $290,000.

I have no information as to what this amount includes or excludes.

    Agreed! :thumb:

There was a discussion like this on the 2014 Facebook group. Who really cares when everything is getting paid for, when we get to go out to experience awesome things during the summer, and that we have a job after graduation? How many other colleges offer something similar to any of the things that an Academy graduate will have experienced?
