Great day at our house! DD received an LOA from the USCGA yeaterday! Only conditions were to remain compliant with Coast Guard accession height/weight standards and to remain medically qualified for admission as determined by DODMERB.

Very excited and super proud parents!

Awesome. Can only imagine the joy, relief, pride, etc... Did your DD attend AIM?

Great news! A big congratulations! Our kids may be shipmates. My DS was also week 1 AIM

Congratulations! What a relief for your DD and family.

How were you notified??

When did your DD submit her application?

A big congratulations to you as well! That would be awesome. My DD wad in Foxtrot Company.

Thanks! My DD was notified by a coach and received a LOA by regular mail. My DD completed her application in August, DODMERB in July and had all LOR's in by September 3rd.

Thanks for replying. My DD's last LOR was completed yesterday, even though the first request was made in August and many, many since then. The wait begins!

Is it odd that an LOA was sent out at the same time appointments are being decided?

Why wouldn't they just send an appointment?

Oh, I now see that the applicant has not been medically qualified yet, never mind.

My DD was found medically qualified by DODMERB back in August. Just waiting for a final review from the candidate review board.

The LOAs come from Captain Finton the Dean of Admissions. The candidate still gets reviewed by the Board to make sure they are completely qualified and met any conditions spelled out in the LOA. The LOAs I would think would get reviewed early in the board process.

That's exactly who sent our DD's LOA, Captain Finton the Dean of Admissions. Lets hope you DS and my DD are completely qualified once the board meets. I agree. I would think that LOAs would be reviewed early in the board process.

I stand corrected LITS. Checked the LOA and it still is "Director of Admissions":thumb:
