Today my son received a thick envelope with an appointment to USMA, class of 2014. He had a presidential nomination, ranks 4/529 academically, and had great SAT and ACT scores. He plays football and rugby and is an officer in Interact this year. Most importantly, He is a nice kid.

Congratulations to your son,

he seems like a fine individual and I'm happy to hear about this. Gives me a time line for how early they're making decisions. I am also applying for the Class of 2014, my dad's a grad ('83) and my brother's Class of 2010, I'm hoping to be with your son in the Class of 2014.

Once again congratulations.

Congratulations!! Best of luck to him and I do agree, the the nice kid part is important!

Congratulations! Now cover him in the "proverbial" bubble wrap for the rest of the year till "R" day!

Welcome! :thumb:

Congrats!! How exciting to know this early in the year. :yay:

There are plenty of nice kids who dropped out of West Point, it's not about being nice. But good for him.
