I am a Junior at a small school in New York and I have just submitted my application to the USMA and the SLE when it opened up Yesterday. I have just started to really practice for the CFA and have gotten my latest SAT scores and my ACT scores back (I am considering redoing them). I am looking for any advice on things to do and things to improve upon...All advice is appreciated, thanks!

My scores are as follows...
SAT- Math 730 Reading 650 Writing 590 essay 9
ACT- Math 34 Reading 30 Writing 28 English 28 Science 28 essay 11
My GPA is in the mid 90's and I am somewhere in the top 10% of my class
I am currently taking 2 college level courses; Pre-Calculus and Spanish 103

Athletics...
Cross Country team captain (and the past 2 years as MVP)
3 year letter winner in cross country
2 year letter winner in outdoor track
Lifeguard since I was 15
(I also Swim and Bike a lot apart from running)

Other things include...
President of my class for all 3 years so far
National Honor Society member and Vice-President
Varsity Club President
Student Council Vice-President
Certified Water Safety Instructor (WSI)
Yearbook Junior Editor

I already talked with my guidance counselor and boys state representative about attending it this year. I also am in AP Math and Science. And I have my best times for Cross Country and Outdoor Track if those would be helpful. (I have gone to sectionals every year in each) Thanks again for the input.

Your are doing well and your SAT scores are good. Nevertheless, you should definitely take the SATs again. Your scores generally improve the second and even the third time you take the tests. The Academy will superscore your SAT tests, so your scores can only improve. Finally, virtually every college in the country will superscore your SAT which can help with plan B, C, D and E. Higher SAT score might also help in landing scholarships, including AROTC which you should also apply for when the time comes.
