Congratulations Brawny77 I see you are on USAFA appointment thread too. Is DS attending both SA or are we just being braggadocious? "kidding"
I believe you can only attend one SA at a time. I also thought the threads were for those accepting appointments only.
 
Haven't decided which one yet. Just excited. Not meaning to be braggy at all. Overwhelmed is a better term. He has not accepted any yet. In fact I need to take him to see his top choice. I know how he ranked them before he got in but he is giving it all serious thought. Also I saw no where on here that the treads were for accepted appointments only. They say "appointments" and he has those. I know how hard these kids work for this. I enjoy seeing the messages when someone is offered an appointment. I was simply sharing true facts. DS has a choice between three of the finest institutions in the world. I also fully intend on supporting all the fine kids still waiting.

Brawny77---Congrats x3! Seriously! That is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Your DS must be a very, very unique and special individual for THREE SA's to accept him THIS EARLY! Good for him! And I believe YOU ARE CORRECT, it is an "appointment" board and your DS does have 3 appointments so I agree he should be on ALL 3 lists! ;) If my DS is ridiculously lucky and accepted to both SA's he applied to---USMA and USNA, you can bet I will be adding his name to BOTH as well! :) You deserve to relish in such a great accomplishment with your DS! I'm sure you have had a hand in his successes so congrats to YOU too! Don't let any biting words from anyone deter you from celebrating. I just found a great quote for this moment: "When People Hate On You, It's Because You Have Something They Want!" Again, a genuine congratulations from this Massachusetts Mom!!!

Congratulations. Best wishes for your DS as he thinks through which of the 4 Services now open to him he sees himself joining and being challenged and fulfilled for his service obligation. That is the real decision! Once that is made, which SA is easy.

Congratulations to your DS and to you. We have given our DS advice and guidance along this journey so I suspect positive parenting was in the mix in your household as well. Our DS has 2 appointments right now and will be a really tough decision for him. He is waiting on the 3rd SA for a response which could complicate things further. We have asked him to consider the service choice and what he sees himself doing in 4.5 years from now. He has some time to make his decision as does your DS. They have earned the right to take their time and make the right choice for them.
