I know West Point requires a $2000 deposit by the time you arrive by June 13, however is there an alternate way to pay for your deposit before arriving at West Point? Can you have it taken out of your cadet pay every month? I saw something online about that but I don't know if that was for previous classes or if that still applies for the class of 2020

Google is your friend. It was asked last year around this time.

Best answer was:
http://www.usma.edu/parents/siteassets/treasurer mission web page input 2012 (1).pdf
Any newly arriving cadet who cannot meet the requirement of the Initial Deposit will have their end of month pay that the cadet receives reduced by $100 until their cadet account is in line with the rest of their class. It is not necessary to inform the Treasurer that the Initial Deposit cannot be met. The Treasurer will automatically take action the second month a cadet get paid to insure their cadet account will be in line with the rest of their class.

I would call USMA to see what your options are. Post back here if you find out any additional information.

WP admissions understands this can be a financial burden and would not exclude a candidate from R-Day if the 2K is not or cannot be deposited. They can deduct the amount from the cadet pay. You could contact the local WP parents club for assistance. There is still sometime before R-Day to get a job to work for it and be invested in you education/career journey.
