I took the time to visit the USNA forum and after reading over there for a while, I began to wonder...do WP cadets, potential cadets and their respective families hold the same type of resentment and frustration for the West Point athletes and the MAPS students as the folks over on the USNA site have for Navy athletes and NAPS student?

Yes, No, Perhaps. But..... they typically do not air their dirty laundry in public.

BTW - Navy loves their athletes.... as long as they win.
Also - forget about what potential cadets, parents and families think.

we just call them prepsters, and yes there is some stigma around prepsters because 1) many of the recruited athlete prepsters are known to be shammers when it comes to duties and 2) there's been a high attrition rate of prepsters in recent classes, 2014 included. However, that being said WP loves its athletes and there are plenty of awesome prepsters who I am glad to call my classmates.
