Hello all -

This is a link to the Kingston Daily Freeman highlighting celebrations on April 20 for Gov. George Clinton (who had a least a passing interest in marine transportation). The band went up to play for the event. There are a few nice slides of band members and some video footage of them playing. Of course, it is "A Life on the Ocean Wave".

I would have driven down for it had a nameless Band Company son bothered to tell us he was going to be there. So sadly, I don't have any pictures of my own to add but hopefully you will all enjoy these. As a note to incoming band company members, its these little jaunts that get your plebe off of campus once in a while! A little reward for all that practice time!

Thanks. I started my career at IBM Kingston (now long gone) so this is all old stomping grounds for me. Its only 40 minutes or so from here but I only found out about it the next day! Our DS figured we wouldn't be able to come. Oh well. I'm glad the school got some nice coverage here. I have to say, whoever the trumpet player was who played taps did a great job.
