Once you graduate from the academy, can you choose to become commissioned to work for the Navy, or do all the graduates have to become merchant marines? I want to be navy pilot and I was looking into this academy as an alternative to USNA, USCGA, and ROTC scholarship.

    Service Commissions

Fifty-eight members of the 2009 class were commissioned for active military service: 15 in the U.S. Navy: 12 in the Marine Corps; 19 in the Coast Guard; 3 in the Air Force; and 6 in the Army. In addition, 2 graduates took reserve commissions in the Army National Guard, and 1 graduate entered the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
