Hi Sealion,
I rec'd LOA in early October and just rec'd call re: nomination, last Friday. The USNA portal still has not reflected the nom. How long did your's take to get online? Anxious, I guess...
Thanks

Son was interviewed for the nomination in early December and the USNA portal recorded the nomination as mid-December. The MOC congratulations call came the first day back to school after Christmas break and the appointment came via USPS Priority mail in mid-January.

Hope that helps you.

Thanks for the info. Hope to see your son on I day...

ANCHORS AWEIGH!

The Nomination portal on the USNA CIS reflects last last weeks phone call, so I am somewhat relieved! Next step is anxiously awaiting the US Postal Service. " Hurry up and wait...", as my dad says, is the order of the day (and future days, as well).

God speed to all of my future classmates-see you on I-day.

"GO NAVY,sir. Beat Army, sir":shake:

Class of 2013

Please add my daughter. She has been told that an appointment is forth coming...and we anxiously await. We are from Honolulu, Hawaii and she personally knows two other future plebes here in Hawaii...I guess that is the advantage of coming from a small island (o: These other two have already secured their places and I am relieved that my daughter has two fine young men to travel across the continent and the Pacific Ocean with for visits home.:thumb:

Add my son as well. Senator's office phoned and said appointment package was forthcoming! Yeeha!

Wow, Hawaii. That will be long trips to/from Annapolis. Start saving those frequent flyer miles. Congratulations to all.

you can add me also.

I am from las vegas, nv and i cant wait to leave this summer.

wow, it looks like the appointments are just flying out now!

143 days to I Day! (yes, I'm counting :shake: )

get used to counting days! lol. "sir, you now have 33 days until spring break, 97 days until 2/c ring dance, and 102 days until first class graduation, sir!"

that's what i would say if they asked me right now. it's worse during plebe summer when you have like seven dates to remember.

congrats to everyone on their appointments! pm me or ask me here if you got any questions. happy to answer. 2012!

USNA Class 2013 - Son received call from Congressman

My son, received a call from his congressman saying he was accepted into the Naval Academy and that he would be receiving his appointment packet this week. Congratulations to all you with appointments! As parents we couldn't be more proud!

Just called home and no letter today. Anyone else get any word yet?

Only received call from Congressman

Dear mjcjac: My son has received a call from the congressman notifying him that the USNA appointment packet was in the mail but he hasn't actually received it. We are anxiuosly awaiting. Best of luck to you!

Thanx 2013plebemom,

Me 2 on the anxiously waiting...I haven't had butterflys like this since pitching in the State Playoffs!! No call from Congressman, but have LOA and Nom and medically qualified. Also DODMERB status changed last week, but still want APPT in hand. I guess I am 'from Missouri'

Thanks again

The Call Just Came !!!!!!!!!!

:thumb:Just received call from Admissions saying that waiver was GRANTED. LOA + Nom + Waiver = 2013 Midshipman. The girl just pulled off what three years ago (when she made the decision to go to USNA) was unspokenly thought to be impossible. Pride and shock and pride and joy and pride and amazement. I cannot stop smiling. Jeez, what a kid.
