USNA hopefull

3'Qd with a nomination here and no peep from USNA. I did get a letter from the academy back in November that stated I am "board qualified".

It's been said before and needs saying again, it seems.

Do not interpret failure to receive a letter about being Board Qualified or 3 Qed ... scholastic/whole person, CFA, and medical ... to mean anything, if you are. Administrivia is NOT USNA's strong suit. While none knows for sure, I'd wager that as many, maybe more DO NOT ever receive that letter as do. Beyond being a momentary aspirin, making one feel a little better for awhile, it is meaningless.

This coming month will be filled with agony and ecstacy. Here's to the latter. If only we all lived in Lake Wobegone ...where all the women are strong, all the men are good looking, and ALL the candidates are above average ...and receive thick envelopes!

All of you that have come this far in the process should be very proud of yourselves, for your hard work, for your perseverance, and for your willingness to serve. My DD, 3Q'd with 2 noms is waiting for news as well. No matter the outcome of the next few weeks, I couldn't be prouder of her.:thumb:

I am also 3Q'd with a nomination in MD. recieved NROTC Navy option to GWU in October and the Scholastically Q'd letter whole app done in September. i cant beleive Ive waited this long... Kinda crazy i only have a month left.

You will know if you're medically qualified. You can generally assume that, if not contacted by USNA, you are physically (CFA) qualified. Your RD or BGO (once he/she knows) can tell you if you are scholastically qualified. If all three, you are 3Q'ed.

Some people seem to get letters saying they are scholastically and/or triple Q'ed and others don't -- and I'm not sure why. But getting or not getting a letter doesn't change your situation.

Thanks usna1985. This has bothered me for quite sometime, as well as many others.

High expectations are the key to everything. Sam Walton

Mail stalking for my DS who is 3Qd with 3 nominations. No word yet here in Mississippi. Good luck to all that are waiting.

Waiting here in New Jersey 3Q'd with a nomination. I also spoke to my regional director and all he said was that I was in a smaller pool of candidates. I take that to be a positive statement. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

Who's your regional director?

I'm also in New Jersey, three Q'ed with a nomination. The waiting is so bad
