Hello! I just wanted some feedback on my rough outline I had for my personal statement for the Naval Academy. Here is the prompt that is provided:

1) Describe what led to your initial interest in the naval service and how the Naval Academy will help you achieve your long range goals
2) Describe a personal experience you have had which you feel has contributed to your own character development and integrity

From those two questions, I have come up with the following outline:

1a) Father served in the Navy + spoke of service + truly experiencing the world first hand; how important education is + becoming the best person I can possibly be
1b) USNA offers a unique education: moral, mental and physical, made me want to attend the Naval Academy vs. an NROTC program at another school, has my major (aerospace engineer)
2a) life is sitting in front of me right now (taking a semester off/ possibly more b/c of $) + I have a choice to make. Can either be stagnant and watch life pass me by or I can choose to take life head on + live out all my dreams+ Naval Academy is more than capable of doing such
2b) taught me about struggle + perseverance

Let me know where I could possibly add on/ take off. Thanks for any and all help!

James
