The USNA crest, Bill the Goat and other trademarked logos are carefully controlled for maximum revenue purposes by the Naval Academy Athletic Assn. There is a Navy football quilt kit sold on Etsy, but without the trademarked items.

Dark navy blue and a metallic, light gold (rather than deep yellow gold) patterns, anchors, tridents, etc., would work as background, then buy some stuff in Mid Store that can be cut out for appliqué purposes. A mom of one of our USNA sponsor daughters made one with that kind of background, then creatively used women's rugby team logo salvaged from a polo shirt, naval aviation wings of gold, Marine eagle, globe and anchor and various other purchased symbols, worked in class year and class motto, and creatively made a border of red and gold - this was done her 1/c year to reflect her service selection and team sport. There was even a Blue Angel in one square, Bill the Goat in another. This mom routinely won state fair prizes, and it was a work of art.

Current mids will surely speak up, but bedding is very uniform and regulated, especially for plebes. Depending on how hardcore the company is, personal bedding items can't be left out. Your plebe-to-be will be able to give you guidance once PS is over and AC year is underway, if Team Grandma had thoughts of DGS having nice normal college dorm room décor. This would be a good item for home, or perhaps consider a personalized Commissioning quilt as described above, for 2020.

You could also call the Mid Store, see if they have any USNA material or quilt kits. I don't recall seeing them in there, but I would not have been looking. If a logo can be put on some thing and monetized, it will be.

Perhaps a tshirt quilt made from various tshirts from the gift shop.

I take the USMA tshirt that is printed up every year (it has all the names of the cadets in the incoming class and the school symbol and class year on it) and turn that into a keepsake pillow. So, I'm just expanding on that idea.
I can post the link if you are interested in seeing what it looks like.

Mine is a 2nd so if they want to have it as Commissioning present we could spend most of the year collecting memorabilia. Like your Idea so much better than the pre-printed material of the army Army one they are doing for my husband. Thanks

Just had a thought, Would be neat to get some material from an old uniform or something Whites for example and get friends to sign it then incorporate that into the collage quilt design. Or an Old Plebe t-shirt.

You can browse the online USNA store to see what items might work for this purpose. Various patches, etc. are shown, I pasted one below.
