USNA waiting for yield results

Another consideration ~ waivers. I believe conditional LOAs have gone out. MY DD is waiting for one. Her letter stated that the offer is good until April 1st. Hoping we hear from the Waiver Authority before then. Fingers crossed.

I received LOA March 5 that had been postmarked Feb. 28 and said was valid until March 1. Called USNA and was told it would still be valid if I receive waiver.

You either get one of the few remaining appointments or you get on the waitlist. In recent years it seems the waitlist is not used as USNA's yield is closing in at close to 90 percent.

So we have until April 15 ? Is that the magic date that you will know one way or the other?
Is that when all appts have gone out and candidates have accepted ?

"The USNA uses a selection process known as "rolling admissions." As soon as all of your candidate packet forms are received, the Admissions Boards will determine your scholastic "whole person" qualification. ...............

..............If you are found scholastically qualified but do not receive a Letter of Assurance, you will be competing for an Offer of Appointment from within your nominating sources.

Approximately 3,000 candidates are found fully qualified (scholastic, medical, CFA, and have obtained a nomination) each year.

Of that number, about 1,400 will receive appointments and approximately 1,200 become midshipmen. Most candidates will be notified of their final status by April 15."

"If you decide to accept this offer of appointment, please indicate so within CIS as soon as you have made your decision but no later than May 01 of 2016."

If your nominating sources have already been given out the appts in dd district
Am I understanding that the candidate would be given an appointment from somewhere else?

Does naps appt count as a spot from a senator in district

ie senator can only have 5 people at an academy at one time whether plebe , youngster , second or firstie
Correct?
