Varsity Sports at the USMMA

If someone did not get recruited to play a sport at the USMMA, can they try to walk-on and earn a spot on the team?
 
Yes. Some sports are more competitive then others. If you have specific questions about your sport I would suggest you contact the coach.
 
My DD is being recruited by USMMA. Even so, she was told there are tryouts every year. Even if you were on the team the previous year, it doesn't guarantee you a spot.
 
I would contact the coach and talk with them and let them know you are interested. Some/many of the sports teams have a small meet and greet the day before you report for indoc...a good way to meet some new fellow plebe candidates...and depending on the sport, you will be able to bring some gear and drop it off at this meet and greet.
