Veteran-Friendly Employers

I work for one of them too. For any parents who wonder about how military skills translate into a job, we have a thriving JMO (junior military officer) pipeline which has brought dozens of JO's in. JMO programs are common at Fortune 500 companies.

Thanks for posting.

I'm very disappointed that my large former employer is not on the list.

Lots of contractors listed there. Which makes sense.

As important as hiring veterans; providing and environment and opportunity to transition over.

It's not always easy.

Happy to say my company has a "VetNet" internal organization, has own social functions, buddy program for new hires, special logo and polo shirts we wear on certain days, our own social chat area on company intranet, ongoing feedback. We also have a "Combat to Claims" program where we take vets with zero experience in insurance claims processing and train them from the ground up. Of course, our business is serving the military, vets and families, so no surprise we hire vets, mil spouses, Reserve/Guard, "brats."
