Has anyone gotten a VA. nomination yet? DS got rejected by Senior Senator has not heard from Junior Senator and has an interview with MOC Panel on Saturday.
 
Our DS had an interview with Senator Warner's interview team in early November. They told him that he would hear their decision before Christmas break. Senator Kaine's email said that they were not going to do interviews due to the government shutdown and the overwhelming number of applicants. DS also has an interview with MOC next week. I guess we're all just waiting.
 
DS interviewed with Senator Warner in late October and Congressman Cantor (7th Distict) the weekend before Thanksgiving. He received a NOM to USNA from Senator Warner on Nov 24 and an alternate NOM from Congressman Cantor to USNA on Dec 4 (Cantor does the principal NOM thing).
 
I think its ridiculous not to do interviews. In my case I beat out some much more highly qualified candidates based on giving "the impression of potentially being a very successful officer" during interviews. They should play a major part in the nomination process. But then again I'm from ND where we have MUCH less applicants (around 30)

Just wondering if anyone has heard from Senator Kaine? An email said to expect a letter by December 20th.
 
Yes, my friend and I have received a nomination from Senator Tim Kaine for USMA. I'm not sure about other service academies though; if you haven't received anything yet, I would email Senator Tim Kaine.
 
My DS received a nomination from Kaine but we still have not heard from Congressman Frank Wolf. Anyone heard from his office? Lots of appointments on the forum and we're getting anxious!
