What is the procedure like for the vision test? Do they just test you with your glasses on or do they use the lens machine (not sure what it's called)?

The reason I'm asking this is because my glasses right now are a couple degrees off my 20/20 vision-- the doctor did this intentionally because I have high myopia and he didn't want to strain my eyes. I also wear rigid contact lenses, should I bring those in too?

Yes you bring your glasses. It's basically a normal vision exam like you would have at your optometrist. If memory serves, there are directions for how many days you should not wear your contact lenses prior to the appointment.

I believe for rigid lenses you are to remove them for 21 days prior to the exam.

yea, about the rigid lenses, the letter said you're supposed to remove them 21 days prior but when i called and asked, their doctor said that removing them for 3 days is fine. who should i listen to?

We are following what the papers say. We don't want to delay anything or have to pay for an additional exam, but that is what we are doing...not saying that's what you have to do! DD wears soft lenses so she only has to go 3 days--makes life a bit easier :). Good luck with everything!
