My daughter just returned from her overnight visit to VMI, and now she has informed us that VMI is her first choice. She plans to apply for ED, and is going to revisit during next year's ratline.
Is there anything she should do that would increase her chances of acceptance? Right now she's a HS junior, ranked #3 in her class with a GPA of 3.9. She has played Varsity Softball and Tennis for three years each and made the softball 1st team all-conference team in her sophmore year. Her SAT scores are low (1530), but she plans to retake them.
She fell in love with the Institute and says it "feels" right. They really impressed her this weekend.
