I was looking over their recommended coursework credits and saw the 3 of foreign language. Is it absolutely needed to have 3 credits of foreign language to be accepted into VMI? I already have 2 credits and can speak the language moderately fluently because of my family and ethnic background.

Thank you!

It's not hard and fast- I assume that you have an extra year of something replacing that Language class. It's not going to be a disqualifier- it's just one of many data points that will be considered when you apply.

If you're worried, call and ask the admissions office. They'll be able to assist you from there. Given your fluency of the language, in my opinion, I don't think it will be a problem.

I got accepted with only 2 Credits of Spanish, and I didn't have to take any college foreign language courses either (Civil Engineering)
