How does absentee ballots/voting work? I'm thinking with regards to the 2014 election, but really all others. can I still vote for my local officials, and for national officials such as pres, sen, cong, etc?

It's REALLY simple provided your are registered in your home state.

You simply write for an absentee ballot. My home state used to allow me to register for ALL ballots...absentee. I would receive ballots for every election.

A "non" issue.

What about primaries? They work the same I guess?

In my state, yes they did. I don't know about all states though, but it would make sense that you could request absentee ballots since you are a registered voter and they can NOT deny you that right.

So assuming I am appointed to the academy, I request for a ballot, check my boxes, and sent it back home to the county courthouse? Sounds easy enough to me!! Thanks!
