Recently i visited the virginia tech campus and did an over night with the corps of cadets, directly afterwards (the next day) i went to VMI where i did multiple interviews. Compared to VMI, VT seemed to be "playing" military. Does anyone know if this is the same case at Norwich? I am interested in the seriousness of VMI but in case i dont get in id like to have a feasible back up, but i want that backup to be something with a serious program similar to VMI's if possible. So far, Norwich seems more intense than VT but could someone please offer insight?

thanks

I'd suggest doing an overnight at Norwich as well if you have the means. Deciding where you'll spend the next four years of your life is a big deal. You owe it to yourself to make an informed decision.

I can attest to the fact that VT is probably the least strict of the SMCs. If you're looking for a more rigid lifestyle then I'd definitely recommend VMI. But keep in mind that all the SMCs (even VMI) are "playing" military to an extent.

Well VT is bigger obiviously. VMI and The Citadel are considered to be the most "strict" SMC's, so I'd look into The Citadel if you liked the intensity of VMI.
