So has anyone heard anything today? If the "rush" was Tuesday then it seems reasonable to conclude that some might have heard news (good or bad, hopefully good!) by now.
 
Unfortunately I did not today. I really want to know but I'm just sitting on the idea that it won't be until April 15 so I should just wait until then.
 
I am wondering if the big envelope stuffing event this week could have been for advertising a large alumni affair or next year's football schedule or something - Would USNA really be so open about admissions mailings?
 
does this envelope stuffing also apply to NASS? I'm still waiting for a reply letter
 
I would say no to the NASS. I'm assuming that this hear-say of "envelope stuffing" on Tuesday was for appointments/denials to the Academy. What districts/states are you all in?
 
We are still waiting here in District 07 in Richmond, Virginia. I'd like to think we'll all hear back soon...
 
Still waiting here in District 5 in Alabama. I don't think I have ever been so anxcious about somethiing. My DS is taking it better then me or else he is not showing. Good luck to all of you and let's hope that tomorrow at this time we might all have some answers. No mater what they are!

Thank you for this piece of information. So it seems that the "envelope stuffing" did refer to BFEs. Hopefully this means some young peoples dreams are about to become realities!

did the mid actually say BFEs??? because my "source" said just Es. (meaning envelopes not specifying size at all... :wink:)

I went and rechecked the text, it was actually "packages" not BFE's. Sorry, I know that really doesn't help much
 
packages..hm..wonder if that means BFEs actually..or maybe its nothing with admissions at all..

Given last year was a record year, another 15-20% is amazing. Keep in mind the number of fully qualified candidates with nominations represents the competition. I could be wrong and if so I apologize in advance. I don't believe the number of fully qualified with nomination candidates varies significantly from year to year due to the limited number of nomination sources.
 
I have to go and get some work done, but in this frustrating anxiety waiting period, it is somewhat amusing how we and I include myself hang on to and dissect every word/statement searching reaching hoping for any good news or any news......heard MID/VVCF say mass mailing on Tuesday, envelope stuffing etc. Does mass mailing mean small envelope, stuffing must refer to BFE or could be only stuffing TWE in envelope, mailed Tuesday etc.

We are all on edge or is it the bubble, and tired of waiting....by the way does anyone know the envelope color, how were envelopes sealed, how many stamps per envelope did plebes or upper classmen stuff envelopes, maybe my BGO will know something (nah, they always say they don't know anything).....tick tok , tick tok the wait goes on :shake:
