Waiting for waiver and recent elective surgery

My son is waiting for his medical waiver for ADHD and eyesight for AFROTC, and had an elective surgical procedure. Should he let DoDMERB know now, or wait for the waiver approval? It was a simple, very small, liposuction procedure.

Just an FYI to anyone who looks back at this post with the same question... As far as the elective surgery, my son ended up having a 2nd surgery as well almost a month later. He developed an inguinal hernia not related to the first surgery. After receiving clearance from both surgeons (six weeks after the last surgery), we sent the records to DoDMERB. We sent in his remedials for ADHD and the mild lattice degeneration at the same time.

We just received the waiver from AFROTC and final medical clearance!

YEAH!!
