My son was disqualified for the Naval Academy for D155.41 - Distant visual acuity not correctable to 20/20 in each eye. Do you know if waivers have been given in the past for this? Thanks so much.

You should send your question to Larry Mullen at DODMERB. He can help you with your specific situation. Whether waivers are "typically" given, often given, etc. is really not relevant to whether your son will get a waiver. Larry's email address is in a sticky.

I was staying out of the question becasue it was directed specifically to RETHM. But, I'd be more than glad to answer your question. USNA 1985 is exatcly correct, so, pls send me (Larry.Mullen@dodmerb.tma.osd.mil) your posting, son's full name and last 4 SSN, and then I can assist you. It won't be until 0100 MDT tomorrow morning though, if you send to me tonight.:thumb:

Mr. Mullen:

I also sent you an email yesterday afternoon. I know the system and email was down til this morning as I received a message that the mail could not be received. I will forward my message to you again. Thanks so much for your help.

Got it. Thx 4 your patience. Received and just answered one of your questions. Hope to have the other answer by 1 AM tomorrow morning. Thx for the opportunity:thumb: I'm going to be off the net until 1 AM tomorrow.
